After a weekend with technical problems and just a couple of laps in practice, Marit started the race from 20th position.
The race was run in perfect conditions with a temperature a little under 40 degrees.
Marit moved quickly up in the field passing Bob Trask, Benavente, Cantando, Kourtsenovski and others.
After about 30 laps she was chasing Frenchman Phillippe Chiappe in 9th position when she spun out in turnbouy four.
The engine cowling fell off and Marit had to retire.
The race was won by Jonas Andersson in F1 Team Sweden who had a perfect weekend racing from pole position.

F1 in 2008?

(Click the picture and read today’s article in Aftenposten)

I guess it’s all out today. In Aftenposten. We’re working on a deal for F1.
It’s very exiting, but the time is short and we need a lot of money before we dare to go further.
It’s now 22 days, 2 hours and 44 minutes till the green flag drops in Qatar. Who will be on the starting line…

Ciao
Marit
