| 06.07.2008 Mikki won in Eknes!  (Click on picture to enlarge) Mikki Fors won the race in front of Slakteris and Gross. Marit was stuck in the back of the field with handeling problems. "The boat is to heavy in the front with the crash box and we must adjust the balance for the next race", says Marit.  05.07.2008 Second in time trials in F2 in Finland!  (Click on picture to enlarge) Marit was second in time trials today behind Uvis Slakteris. The race is tomorrow afternoon and is the first race in the European Championship of F2. Stay tuned for more updates. 18.06.2008 MARIT PERFORMING AT F1 IN LAHTI! Also check out the pictures from Lahti and St Petersburg in the picture file. 16.06.2008 MORE BAD LUCK FOR MARIT!  (Click on picture to enlarge) After having some problems with the power steering in time trials, the team and Marit found a good racing set up in the last free practice and was ready to start the race. The start came down and lots of drivers were crossing the field. Marit managed to stay out of the trouble and head down towards the first corners. Everything went well and she was climbing passing a few drivers into lap two. In one of the right handers, Uvis Slakteris came out of control and hit Marit. The boat got a big hole in the back and the team just managed to save the boat from going under. – Extremely frustrating to have one more DNF (did not finish). This time I was trying to be less aggressive and my goal was to finish within the points, says Marit. The race was won by Jonas Andersson followed by Sami Seljo and Fabio Comparato. 13.06.2008 Rough water in St Petersburg!  (Click on picture to enlarge) First practice is just finished in Russia and Marit had a fairly good session finishing 12th. The water was rough and it's expected even worse tomorrow so the drivers are in for a tough race. 11.06.2008 Action in Lahti!  (Click on picture to enlarge) The race was run under very difficult conditions with high rollers and strong wind. The orginizer decided to start the race under yellow flag and Marit started in 12th. When the green flag dropped, Cantando made a major flip and barrel roll, luckily without any damage to the driver. The race continued and Marit started moving up in the field. In her 19th lap she was in 8th and set the best lap time in the race so far. In a fight with Andersson and Chiappe in turn two. Marit hit a wave and made a strange barrel roll, but landed on the right side. Unluckily the engine was full of water and game over for Marit. Race was won by Guido Cappelini. Now the formula One circus has moved to St Petersburg for a new race this weekend.  (Click on picture to enlarge) 06.06.2008 F1 in Finland coming up!  (Click on picture to enlarge) This weekend the Formula One circus is moving to Lathi in Finland for the third F1 race of the 2008 World Cup. The Rainbow Team is already in Lahti preparing everything for the racing weekend. The race venue is new for F1 and the organizer is expecting a huge crowd to enter the racing arena the next days. Radioman Jean Claude and Marit are arriving tomorrow morning ready for a new action weekend.
