DRAMMEN GP COMING UP!

Strømøy Racing is now ready for the big race in Drammen. The race is the final race in the European Cup and a part of the Nordic Championship. The boat is ready and tested. We had a good run last week and have done some major changes.
Raceday Saturday we will host a big VIP event for our sponsors. The jazzband Sweet and Sour will be there and Kirsten Strømøy’s catering will be there to give our sponsors food and drinks. Stay tuned and ready for a good weekend!

Premiere at Wallmans!

Today we have the premiere at Wallmans in Copenhagen.
After six intense weeks of rehearsals the show is finally ready for the audience.
This year’s show is called Passion and contains of everything from Barbara Streisand to hard rock and a big Elvis tribute.
Friday I’m leaving from Drammen for the European Cup race so lots of exiting things will happen in the following days.

Tennisfest!

This weekend Strømøy Racing will be present at Tennisfest in Lysekil in Sweden. Tennisfest is a big tennis tournament with lots of old stars such as Stefan Edberg, Mikael Pernfors, Roscoe Tanner, Christian Ruud and more.
The action kicks in on Thursday and the Finals are on Sunday.

Dramatic race in Poland!

The race in Poland was filled with action and drama.
Marit and the IXE Team were third for a long time when the right sponson opened after nearly six hours.
Marit started the race and swapped with Frederic after two hours.
Colin was third on the go and it all happened just before the switch with Yves which unluckily never got to race.
There were about 35 boats in three different classes and the public say boats flipping, crashing and burning, but without anything happening to the drivers.
The IXE Teams second boat in class 2 had a very good run and came in third.
Congratulations to Laurent Chevalier and Christophe Poulain!

Endurance with IXE Team in Poland!

This weekend Marit will race with the IXE Team in Augustow in Poland for the second race of the Endurance World Cup 2008.
In the team will be Colin Jelf, Frederic and Yves Roguez and Marit.
Testing is on Saturday and an 8 hour race on Friday.
In the 24 hours of Rouen this year, the team was 4th. This time the aim is to make it to the podium.
