 The Strømøy family has been involved in powerboating since 1965 when Leif Strømøy started racing, He raced for several years in different classes. His daughter Marit Strømøy started racing in 1989, only 12 years old. Since year 2000 Strømøy Racing has been competing in Formula 2000 with Marit currently as the only female driver in the World. In 2007 Strømøy Racing merged with F1 Team Sweden led by F1 driver Jonas Andersson. F1 Team Sweden has now three boats in Formula 2000 and three in F1. The Formula 2000 drivers are Marit Strømøy, Erik Stark and Mikki Fors and the F1 drivers are Jonas Andersson and Phillippe Tourre. Click the F1 Team Sweden logo and go to our website.
